MISSIONS & MINISTRIES

A CHURCH IN ACTION

We are dedicated to offering a variety of mission and ministry projects so that everyone has an opportunity

to participate.   With that in mind, these are some of the upcoming opportunities:

The LABORS FOR NEIGHBORS  program is important to the missions ministry of our church. Every year a team of adults will roll up their sleeves and travel to southeast Texas to help our neighbors whose homes have been affected by hurricane damage.  Visit the  Labors for Neighbors Website for more information and lots of pictures, even some of your church missionaries!

MADE WITH LOVE: Meets the first Thursday of every month, at 9:00 a.m. in the Family Life Center (200 N. Plum Street).  Both men and women are invited to make items to give to patients in hospitals, re-hab centers, nursing homes, etc.

ANGEL FOOD MINISTRIES: FUMC-Royse City is an Angel Food Ministries Church!   Angel Food Ministries’ website www.angelfoodministries.com will display the menu and deadline for ordering each month.  There are 3 ways to place an order:

1. Contact Jana Hebron at 972-635-0002

2. Email Jana at jana@janasjym.com

FUMC FOOD PANTRY:  FUMC has a food pantry onsite for local assistance. For more information or to make a donation, please contact the church office at 972-636-2291.

SHOES FOR KIDS: Every summer FUMC and other neighboring Methodist churches collect funds for the Shoes for Kids ministry. This ministry uses the funds to purchase new shoes for needy children in the Rockwall county area.  Last summer, FUMC Royse City collected over $3,000!

COVER WITH LOVE:  During the winter months new and gently used blankets are collected once a month to be delivered to the homeless.

YAM JAM:

CROOKED HOUSE MINISTRY: Offerings collected in the Crooked House are used for local emergency assistance. The 3rd Sunday of every month, the Crooked House Collections go toward our monthly commitment to assist our adopted church in Villa Ahumada, Mexico.
